Mickie James won the Divas' Title from Maryse at Night of Champions, making her the 2nd Diva to win both WWE women titles (the other being Michelle McCool). Mickie has had three successful title defenses so far: against Gail Kim, Beth Phoenix, and Alicia Fox.
WWE recently started pushing Alicia Fox as a contender for Mickie's Title, but after the Hell in a Cell ppv, WWE may be holding off on the push and instead have "The Glamazon" Beth Phoenix pursue the title again.
Three weeks ago, Mickie James lost a match to Beth Phoenix, which would allow "The Glamazon" the right to contend for the title.
Despite the loss, Mickie won a match against Rosa Mendes; successfully defended her title at Hell in a Cell; and during the Diva Bowl (10/5/09) she Mickie-DDT'ed the Women's Champion Michelle McCool and pinned Alicia Fox, thus winning the Diva Bowl for her team.
Mickie James continues to prove her tenacicity within the squared circle of WWE and proves a favorite with WWETheReturn Blog.
Final Assessment: Mickie James needs better competition because what's the point in being the Champion if there's no one really to fight?
