Known as the Man that Will Not Die, The Sensei of Mattitude, (Arguably) Everyone's Favorite Wrestler... Matt Hardy begins the road to greatness 10 years into the business. The Hardy Boys started out young with a trampoline in their backyard, promoting their own show known as the TWF, Trampoline Wrestling Federation, with the hopes that one day they would make it big and become the World Tag Team Champions. Well that dream has been realized 6-fold along with a run with the WCW and WWE Tag Team belts, but what's next for Matt Hardy?
Obviously, the man has won some singles titles and made a run around as the face of ECW for quite some time. He was actually the first man to bring over the United States Title after being drafted from SmackDown - making the title exclusive to ECW for a while. He also became the ECW Champion in the 1st ever ECW Championship Scramble at Unforgiven 2008. He was known as a fighting champion, taking on all comers. Well, it's almost been a year since Hardy held a title, having since then, feuded and reconciled with Jeff. But again, what's next for Matt Hardy?
With the departure of his brother from the WWE, Matt Hardy was drafted back to SmackDown, seeing as he wasn't being utilized well over on RAW. Lately, Matt has not been seen on television, and the few times that he has, he's usually on the losing side. Just this past Friday, Drew McIntyre pinned Matt in tag team action. WWE claims that the reasoning behind this is for Matt to heal properly from his recently surgically repaired abdominal wall. Others in the land of the dirt sheet, are pinning this on Jeff Hardy's recent arrest. What ever the case may be, Matt Hardy is a Man that Will Not Die and hopefully that determination culminates in him winning the World Heavyweight Title.
This past Tuesday on ScyFy, Matt Hardy made a special appearance on the original series, Scare Tactics. A show hosted by Tracey Morgan, places ordinary people in scary situations with the intent to scare them. This footage, even though aired this week, is actually old footage as Matt Hardy is billed as an ECW Superstar. Hardy actually pulled off the psycho pretty well, but I wouldn't have expected any less as he does host and star in The Hardy Show online series: The Best Show NOT on TV. It would've been nice if the guy Matt was trying to scare actually got more scared. The whole V-Chip story line reminds me of the South Park Movie, where Cartman kept getting electrocuted for cussing.
