The Shaman of Sexy vs. The Charasmatic Enigma
After winning the World Heavyweight Title from CM Punk at Night of Champions, Jeff Hardy’s first match as the World’s Champion is a title defense against John Morrison.
Morrison hit the ground running ever since being drafted to Smackdown, he has secured victories on virtually every opponent, including the Former Champion, CM Punk twice; thus giving him a title match opportunity, in this case Jeff Hardy.
These two are no strangers to one another; they have had a storied rivalry during their days as Intercontinental Champion. Hardy and Morrison have done everything from ladder matches, tag team matches, to steel cage matches – But none of those matches compare to tonight, because it has never been for the World Heavyweight Title.
Morrison is looking to become a Triple Crown champion – and like everyone else, he wants to be recognized as the best.
This will be a match to remember, because they are not afraid of taking risks, they will put everything on the line so, by night’s end, they can have the distinguished honor of being called the Heavyweight Champion of the World.
Tune into MyNetworkTV for this, pay-per-view caliber, World Title match – ONLY ON SMACKDOWN!

WWE Released: The Brian Kendrick
It doesn't come as a shock that Kendrick has been released seeing as he's been jobbing ever since coming to RAW. With his new gimmick, The Brian Kendrick started rising to the top of Smackdown, but RAW just did not know what to do with him. Interestingly enough, Ezekiel Jackson, the body guard of TBK, is still with the company and will be getting a boost. Very similar to when Shawn Michaels hired Diesel to be his body guard. Not saying that HBK was released, but Diesel did get the push to not only become the I-C Champion, but also in capturing the WWE Title. As for The Brian Kendrick, WWE should have been drafted him to ECW where his character would had a chance to flourish. But hey, what do I know?
World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms on the release of RAW Superstar The Brian Kendrick as of July 30, 2009. WWE and WWEStrikesBack wishes Brian the best in all future endeavors.

WWE Should Develop: Part I
According to F4WOnline.com:
It is being said that Jeff Hardy's likely departure, as well as the injuries of Edge/Matt Hardy, have really put a lot of stress of Vince McMahon. The word is that people in the company are aware of the main event depth issues and there are people unhappy with how guys like Jack Swagger and MVP are already being pushed down to a mid-card level with no signs of being able to move up. McMahon is said to be more aware now about issues talked about for years such as the top stars are getting older and the developmental program needing work. Apparently, McMahon is unhappy with WWE's current product despite the fact that business is still doing well despite the economy.
The serious injury that Edge received will keep him out of the wrestling ring for up to a year, in hopes that he'll be back for Wrestlemania season to work something with Jericho.
Matt's abdominal injury has caused him to miss the next several months. Which is good, because RAW had him going for the U.S. Title again, Matt went from United States Title to ECW Champion - he can't go back to the U.S. Title picture. Plus, his heel turn only heated up the crowd during his feud with Jeff - other than that the gimmick was weak. With the Trump Trade - Matt will be returning to Smackdown after a whole month on RAW. This is probably in response to Jeff's likely departure. - One Hardy is Better than No Hardy.
What the WWE needs to do is push Matt into the World Title picture. Matt's captured all the other titles - including the European. Matt just needs to capture the World Title to be a complete Grand Slam Champion. But WWE needs to build him up, and with his abdominal injury out of the way - Matt, as reported on his twitter account @MattHardyBrand, can train and be in the best shape he has ever been because the intestinal lining has always hindered him from training harder.
The Miz, when announced that he would be drafted to RAW, turned on his tag team partner, John Morrison. His first night on RAW, he badmouthed the WWE Company for the lack of depth in the main events at pay-per-views. He also attributed the lack of depth to John Cena, because like others, he is one of the same guys that is always featured on a World Title Card for a PPV. I had high hopes for Miz to turn his career around as a singles competitor. But, unlike Jack Swagger that can go toe-to-toe with Cena - The Miz cannot.
It's no secret that while on ECW, it was Morrison who saved Miz's career from expulsion. It would help if Miz used the momentum from his longest WWE Tag Team Title reign and his amazing World Tag Team Title reign, to make something of himself on RAW, instead of becoming a jobber to the stars. Mainly, Miz is jobbing to Cena - like he needs it. The Miz is no where near WWE Championship level - but the man needs to get into that U.S. Title game.
Jack Swagger is the All-American-American and a Former ECW Champion. What is he doing feuding with MVP and Bourne? Swagger and Bourne were brought over to RAW because Triple H feels that those two will become great main event stars some day - Yet, so far they have been pushed down to mid-cards. When Swagger appeared on RAW, he shook Orton's hand and refused to fight him. He wanted to make an impact and he did - Swagger is stronger, bigger, faster, and younger than the WWE Champion, he could've knocked Orton out. Swagger reminds me of Orton - the brash cockiness of his abilities. Orton's all about his family's legacy - while Swagger's about his two-time, two-time All American status. Within four months in ECW, he became the ECW Champion. Plus his Gut-Wrench Powerbomb is a move that can strike at any opponent - especially the high flying ones.
At first I thought Swagger would join Legacy, but - as seen on Monday Night RAW - a future title opportunity seems a whole lot better. Just like the Age of Orton (2007-8), Orton needs to start defending the title against an array of superstars. - Swagger should be atop of that list.
Evan Bourne is one of the most impressive high flyers since Rey Mysterio. The kid has a lot of potetial to go up the ranks in the WWE. However, he has to start somewhere - lately he's been put in random matches against Big Show and Kofi Kingston - even pinning the U.S. Champ - but not being placed in the title picture at Night of Champions.
Bourne appeared on RAW this week with new Entrance music by Mutiny Within. He was also Swagger's opponent for the Beat the Clock Challenge - Bourne not only took Swagger the distance, but he pinned the All-American-American. I don't see Bourne as a World Title guy just yet, even when he faced Matt Hardy for the ECW Title - one of Matt's best defenses - He should concentrate with feuding with The Miz for a U.S. Title reign.
Check Tomorrow as WWETheReturn continues this series of Who/What the WWE Should Be Developing.

Time Foretold Randy's Next Challenge; "The Masterpiece" Returns
Much controversy surrounds the Triple Threat Match at Night of Champions: Who was Randy Orton tapping out to? Why didn’t the referee ring the bell to Orton submitting? Shouldn’t Orton have been disqualified for the interference of Legacy?
These answers have and will remain buried through the passing of the pay-per-view. The WWE Universe must now look forward to SummerSlam.
To determine Randy Orton’s opponent for SummerSlam, RAW’s Guest Host, Shaquille O’Neal issued a “Beat the Clock” Challenge.
The five challengers chosen to compete in the tournament were Mark Henry, MVP, Triple H, Jack Swagger, and John Cena.
Mary Henry started the tournament against Carlito. One would assume that this would be a quick 1-2-3, but Carlito kept his distance from the World’s Strongest Man. Yet, speed wasn’t enough to avoid Mark Henry’s World’s Strongest Slam – setting the time to beat 6:49.
The next runner up was MVP. He may not have walked out Night of Champions the United States Champion, but this challenge was an opportunity for a shot at the WWE Title. However, after two years, “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters has returned to the WWE, and set to be MVP’s “Clock Challenge” opponent. MVP’s chances of winning were slim since, Masters’ physical appearance resembles that of a Greek god, and his modified full nelson, The Master Lock, is almost unbreakable. Yet, after several attempts to avoid this deadly lock, Masters managed to lock it in - outside of the ring: causing a double count out.
- Since MVP was counted out, he would not advance in the challenge.
The time to beat still remained 6:49, but with Triple H battling Cody Rhodes, it was almost a guarantee that Triple H would advance – key word, ‘almost.’
Prior to the match backstage, Rhodes and DiBiase jumped Triple H from behind and attacked his leg. With this in mind, Rhodes applied the Figure-Four leg lock but Triple H would not submit. As all the momentum shifted over to the Cerebral Assassin, DiBiase climbed the side of the ring – distracting the Game long enough for time to expire. Time would eventually run out as Triple H went for the cover after the Pedigree. Rhodes and DiBiase stopped Triple H from advancing but at a price. Next week, Triple H has issued a handicapped match: Triple H vs. Rhodes and DiBiase – because sometimes you come across a guy, you never should have messed with.
Not really sure what Orton was thinking, because if they stop anyone else from advancing, he would be facing Mark Henry at SummerSlam for the WWE Title – Henry pinned Orton on his first night on RAW, what would stop him from doing it again?
Jack Swagger, exuding the cockiness of a young Orton, was certain that he would advance because he’s bigger, faster, stronger, and younger than the WWE Champion. His opponent was the high flying Evan Bourne – showcasing a new entrance theme and his new WWE Official T-Shirt [Buy Now]. The WWE Creative team is unsure what to do with Bourne – but pinning Jack Swagger within the time to beat seems like a good start. It may not be certain how Bourne will be used, but after pinning the former ECW Champion – things could only go up for Evan “Air” Bourne.
The final Beat the Clock match was John Cena vs. The Miz. Honestly, why not just give Cena the win? Why sit through five matches when it was obvious that The Miz would lose to Cena yet again? The Miz not only failed to run the clock out, but he submitted to the STF. So come SummerSlam, it will be John Cena facing Randy Orton for the WWE Title. Let’s hope that this is not a repeat of No Way Out ’08 – For those who don’t remember, Orton struck the referee to retain the title through disqualification. It was also considered a great waste of Cena’s Royal Rumble winnings.

Shaq Clocks In on Monday Night RAW
This week's guest host is the fifteen-time NBA All-Star, and recognized as the Most Dominate NBA Player of all time, Shaquille O'Neal.
"When I heard that the Most Dominate Player in NBA History was hosting RAW, I automatically assumed it was Kobi Bryant" - Chris Jericho
Shaq, in retrospect to an accurate accusation, called him Christina and kissed him on the forehead. Two reactions to this encounter: Either Shaq really loves Chris Jericho; or he's under the impression that the WWE is a Looney Toons Production.
As the action heated up in the ring - aggressively, not romantically - the other half of the Unified Tag Team Champions, The Big Show decided to pay Shaq a visit. One thing you have to respect about Chris Jericho, he may be arrogant, but anyone affliated with him will dress like a champion - as Big Show came out sporting a nice three-piece suit. Shaq humored the WWE Universe by challenging the Big Show to a match - Shaq may have the height, but he cannot go toe-to-toe with the colossal strength of The Big Show. However, Shaq, believing he's gotten the better of the two, issued a main event match: Cryme Tyme versus the Unified Tag Team Champions (Non-Title) with Shaquille O'Neal as the Special Enforcer.
In an interview conducted by Michael Cole, Shaq mentioned that he and Hornswoggle went to high school together, and that Honswoggle's always been hyper. - For some reason I just found this funny. Then after Hornswoggle made a mini-slam dunk, Michael Cole ruins it by saying that was, "Shaq-a-licious." If that wasn't bad enough, Cole had the nerve to show his face in the announcing table after making such a fool of himself.
Shaq was then seen playing scrabble with "The Italian Stallion" - Nope... it's just Santino Marella. Shaq appeared rather calm, seeing as he'll be the enforcer for a tag team match that included the Largest Athlete in the World along with the Best in the World at what he does.
Shaq, immediately feeling comfortable in the squared-circle, announced a "Beat the Clock Challenge" to determine Randy Orton's opponent at Summerslam. The rules for Beat the Clock are simple: Each competitor will have timed matches, and who ever gets the best time will go on to face the WWE Champion. The five competitors are as follows: Triple H, MVP, Jack Swagger, Mark Henry, and John Cena.
Yet, it wouldn't be long until Shaq would be interrupted by One-Half of the Unified Tag Team Champions, Chris Jericho. Jericho is a class act and not afraid of anyone as he stood face to chest of the 7'1" NBA All-Star.

The segment continued with a visit from Cryme Tyme, insuring that they would win because they do what they have to do, because its all about championships, looking good, and that Money-Money - Shaq adds in - Yeah-Yeah! Until Santion Marella, taking over the job of Jesse, or Slam Master J, this show, starts rapping - such a mood killer, but funny.
The main event match was nothing short but zero purpose for Shaq being the enforcer. He enforced nothing! He blatantly interferred with the match by pulling JTG's leg over to Shad for the tag - the ref should've called on it, but who really wants to mess with a 7ft basketball player?
This week was alot better that last. Shaquille O'Neal as the host actually scheduled matches and came out into the ring - unlike ZZ Top who recorded segments for the whole show and came out onto the ramp for a whole two minutes. Shaq is an intimedating guy, unlike the hilariously small sized Seth Green who threw himself into a match alongside Triple H and John Cena against Legacy. Shaq did a good job and I wouldn't mind seeing either him or Seth Green host again in the future.

It wasn't until The Big Show disqualified himself after refusing to leave the ring, untagged. He delivered punishment to Cryme Tyme and called Shaq out.
Shaq ripped his WWE Ref shirt and got into the ring - very Hulk Hogan of him.

The two stood face to face - as Big Show went for the chokeslam, people started to get worried - But out of nowhere, Shaq goes for the chokeslam as well. These two giants test each others strengths seeing which one would give out, which one would dominate - until Cryme Tyme ruined the moment and started attacking Show. Then Shaq delievered a clotheline which sent Big Show out of the ring.
And for some reason Shaq ran up the ramp after them - but the broadcast cut after that.

Jeff Hardy: The Swanton Bomb that Defied the World
Ever since CM Punk cashed in his Money in the Bank on the newly crowned Jeff Hardy, Hardy has been determined to get his title back.
At The Bash, Hardy had issued his rematch clause - but Punk had supposedly injured his eye during the match, causing him to "accidentally" kick the referee.
Punk's preaching of Straight-Edge and challenging the WWE Universe left Hardy speaking of what he believers in - Living for the Moment.
Punk demands that everyone should be perfect and not fall into bad habits, but Hardy understands that everyone makes mistakes.
When Punk cashed in he did it for himself and turned on all his fans. He's lost two matches to Morrison, forfeited to Edge, and - as seen at Night of Champions - tried to walk away from the match.
CM Punk grew frustrated after hitting the GTS, because Jeff kicked out at two and wanted to walk away with his title.
Hardy knowing his chances were slipping, ran up the ramp and forced Punk back into the ring.
Punk attempted another GTS, but was hit with the Twist of Fate and an emphatic Swanton Bomb.
The WWE Universe and the crowds from the raptures - exploded in joy as Jeff Hardy was finally declared the World Heavyweight Champion.
Jeff, during his post match interview, stated that the title is not just for him, but for all the people who have ever believed in him.
While updating the Broodaholics on Twitter - I noticed skeptics about WWE making the last match the World Heavyweight Match, "It's pretty anticlimactic." Seeing as Jeff Hardy's contract has expired and he's working on shorter term contracts, it was believed that Jeff was putting Punk over as a class heel.
However, as the Prediction of this Match: DEAD ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sometimes you just have to believe in things and have to dream that things will work out cause its all about Living for the Moment.
Rey Mysterio Retains; Yet, Dolph Ziggler Scheduled to Win
After weeks of being attacked, the Master of the 619 retained the Intercontinental Title at Night of Champions.
Rey Mysterio wants to go down in the record books as one of the best Latino Intercontinental Champions of all time, but what of Ziggler?
Ziggler, along with John Morrison, is gradually being pushed along the ranks of the WWE.
It was a battle that would boil down to either the 619 or the Neckbreaker.
Dolph Ziggler had a sound strategic plan - to attack and apply pressure to the neck. This tactic would soften up his opponent for a more painful neckbreaker. He even trapped Mysterio in a full fledged Nelson Lock.
Yet, it would be the 619 that would continue to keep Mysterio in the history books.
WWETheReturn Prediction for this Match: I WAS DEAD ON!!!!
Xtreme Wrestling Scoops, along with online sources, report that Ziggler was scheduled to win the strap that night, however they pulled the plug and allowed Mysterio to retain.
Ziggler had all the momentum going into the match and for some strange reason the company decided against it.
Mickie James Adds Another Title to Her Resume
Last night at Night of Champions, Mickie James defeated Maryse to become the Divas Champion. The title, which has eluded her for months is finally in her grasp.
Being a four-time women's champion, one would assume that Mickie would get first crack at the Butterfly belt, but Vickie Guerrero, GM at the time, instead, issued a divas battle royal for the #1 contendership for the Diva's Title.
The battle was left with Kelly Kelly and Mickie James in the ring, but Maryse, when the referee wasn't looking, blinded Mickie with hairspray, allowing for Kelly Kelly to capitalize. Maryse obviously felt that Kelly Kelly would be an easier opponent; which she was right since she successfully defended the title.
However, the Fatal Four-way would finally granted Mickie James her shot at Maryse's title.
Mickie has always had the advantage over Maryse until two weeks ago when she was pinned by Maryse in the Summer Swimsuit Spectacular (PHOTOS).
Mickie was not phased by the loss in such a trampy stipulation, but after being blinded a second time during her interview with Josh Matthews, one has to wonder if Maryse would have a psychological edge?
During the match, Maryse pulled out the hair spray, but Mickie was quick to rip it away from her, and allowing
the referee to take it out of the ring.
Maryse then tried applying the French TKO, But Mickey countered with the spinning Mick DDT for the pinfall victory.
Mickie became the 2nd Diva to win the Women's and Divas Titles in their respective careers - the 1st is Michelle McCool.
Congrats to Mickie James for becoming a FIVE-time Women's Champion.

Randy Orton Prevails Again in Triple Threat at Night of Champions
Wrestlemania history repeated with Randy Orton retaining in the Triple Threat Match.
In the three years that Night of Champions has been in effect, the WWE Title has never switched hands – so Night of Champions history has repeated yet again.
What was sure to be the main event of the night – turned out to be the fourth to last match; which comes as a shock, since Triple H, John Cena, and Randy Orton are the three biggest superstars of the WWE today.
Triple H and Cena seemed to dominate the night, as two titans of the wrestling world should – but Orton would not let his championship slip so easily.
The battle ensued outside the ring – remember in Triple Threat Matches there are no Count-Outs – with Cena applying the STF on the Game on top of the Smackdown announce table.
J.R. and Grisham looked on since at any moment Triple H could have passed out – But Orton broke it up with a strike to Cena’s head.
Cena would then try again inside the middle of the ring, with no place for the Game to go.
Orton seeing his title slipping away, broke it up and started stopping over Cena and Triple H.
Cena then had the upper hand when he applied the Five-Knuckle Shuffle and perhaps going for the Attitude Adjustment – But Triple H made sure to get rid of Cena so he could punish Orton for all the pain he has put him and his family through this past year.
Triple H applied a Sharpshooter to the scurrying Orton, and then Cena came in to apply the STF.
With this Sharpshooter-STF combo, Orton had no where to go and started to tap out – but the referee had no idea how to call it, because who was Orton tapping out to?
Many believed the match should have ended there with Triple H and Cena being co-winners, but the WWE Title can only be crowned to one person.
Rhodes and DiBiase came to the rescue and broke up the double-submission.
In one felt swoop, Orton struck Cena with the RKO. And for those of you who watched Wrestlemania XXIV, recall that it was Cena who Orton covered to retain his Title – and once again Orton would leave the Triple Threat still Champion with the assistance of Legacy.

Michelle McCool Retains at Night of Champions
The question on everyone’s lips – Is McCool the best there is?
She went on for a month that she is better than any Diva to step foot in the ring, but she never seemed to back that up as she contested in numerous tag team matches or not at all.
At The Bash, McCool made history again by defeated Melina for the Women’s Championship, just last year she beat Natalya to become the inaugural Divas Champion.
For the longest the card wasn’t set up for the Women’s match – can’t understand why, since it would be natural that Melina would initiate her rematch clause.
Before the start of the match, McCool took a cheap shot by attacking Melina with a baseball slide during her entrance split.
From then on, McCool had the upper hand and hit Melina with a hellacious DDT on the outside retaining wall.
McCool showing no remorse attacked Melina before the start of the match, inside and outside the ring to prove to her claim that she is the best ever.
Melina’s acrobatics were no match for McCool’s brute strength as she countered Melina’s high impact maneuver into a roll up pin.
With Michelle still the victor, will Melina get another shot at the title, or will someone else have to step up?

Christian Leaves Birthplace of ECW as Champion!
Night of Champions is not only the night we saw eight WWE Titles defended – but where the ECW Title would change hands for the 13th time in the place where ECW was formed.
Dreamer entered Philadelphia as the Reigning ECW Champion but it would be Christian who would leave with the title. Dreamer’s victory at Extreme Rules was questionable since he never did pin Christian for the title, but instead got the pinfall off of Swagger. The two have not been able to coexist in the ring, from tag team matches to a poorly represented talk show – their differences would have to be settled in a WWE Ring.
It all came into play after Christian won the #1 contendership match against Vladimir Kozlov. Dreamer had wished to face Christian – but those of us wondered, was he afraid of facing the Ruthless Russian? He put the WWE Universe at ease, only for a moment, when he accepted to go one-on-one with Kozlov in a non-title match, of course. But when Kozlov got the better of Dreamer, the WWE Universe wondered whether or not Dreamer should be champion? The two gave it their all, but after a reversal of the Killswitch into the DDT – switch yet again to another Killswitch – the pinfall belonged to Christian.
The title was respectably fought – without any bare turnbuckles or third-party competitor in the match. Congrats to Christian on his 2nd ECW Title Run and for Tommy Dreamer for putting respect into the ECW Title by defending it valiantly in the Birthplace of ECW.
WWETheReturn Prediction for this match: Wrong! Hoped that Dreamer would retain.

Kofi Kington's SOS Answered: Still United States Champion!
Kofi had all the odds stacked against him – but that would not be enough to stop the acrobatically heights that the Jamaican Superstar can leap!
Originally the Six Pack Challanged featured The Miz, Carlito, MVP, Jack Swagger, and the Big Show – but since Big Show was announced as Jericho’s mystery partner, Primo took his place.
With Primo in the mix, the playing field evened out.
The Miz scrambled around the ring in attempts to get a pinfall victory – no doubt to impress the Divas Champion Maryse, but also to capture his first single's title.
Jack Swagger and MVP could not help but try to pin the other. As we have seen on the VIP Lounge and their amazing one-on-one match on RAW – there would be no sweeter victory than to pin the other for the gold.
As the battle field leveled – the brothers Colon were left standing.
Eversince the Colons lost the Unified Tag Team Titles to Edge and Jericho, Carlito has blamed his brother – even though it was Carlito who was pinned with a spear by Edge.
The two went at it as brothers would – very ironic since Philadelphia is the city of “Brotherly Love,” yet, there was no love tonight from the brothers of San Juan.
After executing the BackStabber to his little brother, it would be Kofi Kingston who would get the pinfall off of Carlito using the Trouble in Paradise Kick to the back of Carlito’s head.
Carlito will have a hard time blaming Primo for the loss, but I’m sure he’ll think of something.
History repeats itself, except this time Kofi entered Night of Champions as the defending champion, but once again would leave as Champion!
Congrats to Kofi Kingston for defying the odds yet again.
WWETheReturn Prediction for this match: Wrong! – Originally thought Swagger would win.

Chris Jericho and "The Colossal" Big Show walk away the Unified Tag Team Champions
Jericho’s announcement of Edge’s replacement came as a shock, especially for Legacy.
Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes were hoping for lighting to strike twice this year and walk out as the Unified Tag Team Champions; however, they were not prepared for the Big Show!
The Show, sporting a new blue leotard, was ready for action and to take up the mantel as Edge’s replacement.
Originally meant to compete in the Six Pack Challenge for Kofi Kingston’s United States Championship, but instead chose to fight alongside the Best in the World Today as one-half of the Unified Tag Team Champions.
Legacy tried to keep Jericho in their corner, through quick tags and cutting the ring in half but it was not enough.
It was last year that DiBiase teased the WWE Universe with a mystery partner to face off against the team of Rhodes and Hardcore Holly; however, it would come as a shock when his mystery partner turned out to be his opponent, Cody Rhodes. The two walked out last year as Champions and wished to do the same.
Night of Champions’ history repeated itself as the man with the mystery partner would walk out as tag team champion – in this case Chris Jericho’s Code Breaker and the Big Show’s Colossal Clutch – insured the victory.
It was unfortunate that last year’s Champion with the mystery partner would be forced to submit this year to the colossal giant – The Big Show!
Jericho had teased the WWE Universe by asking the aid of WWE’s other giants: Mark Henry, Kane, and The Great Khali – but it would be “The World’s Largest Athlete” that Jericho would entrust with the other half of the Unified Tag Team Championships.
Well thought out by Chris Jericho as the duo will be an unstoppable force that no current tag team will be able to beat.
According to Xtreme Wrestling Scoops and online sources – McMahon was not too thrilled with this being the opening match – to the point that he threw his headset and walked away.
- It was possibly meant for a later match in the night with the United States Six Pack Challenge being the opening match, in my opinion the match should've been later.
- WWETheReturn Prediction for this match: DEAD ON!

Predictions: WWE Presents Night of Champions!
ECW Championship Match
Since winning the title at Extreme Rules - Dreamer has then defended the title twice: On RAW's Three-For-All and at The Bash.
Yet, Christian seems determined to regaining his ECW Title that he claims is Jack Swagger's fault for being pinned in the Triple Threat Match at Extreme Rules.
Christian and Dreamer are heated up over the dispute - once friends, now competitors. The only dilemma is - Christian doesn't respect Tommy Dreamer and makes fun of the ECW heritage, "This Sunday, are you going to take me - To the Extreme?"
Prediction: Dreamer Retains.
Six Pack Challenge for United States Title
Kofi Kingston has a lot cut out for him tonight - taking on not one - but FIVE other competitors. He doesn't have to be pinned to lose the title.

Divas Championship Match
Maryse is the longest reigning Divas Champion, but Mickie James has the experience.

Women's Championship Match
Melina has invoked her rematch clause for tonight. The question lies - is McCool the Best there ever was? McCool has come a long way since her days as a Florida School Teacher: Inaugural Divas Champion and current Women's Champion. She claims that she is better than any Diva ever to step inside the ring. But with the lack of build for this match up - Smackdown focusing on Eve and Natalya - there's really not much to say.

Intercontinental Championship Match
Rey Mysterio is determined to go in the record books as one of the greatest Latino Intercontinental Champions of all time. Yet, Dolph Ziggler has had his share of success in the last couple of months.

World Heavyweight Championship Match
Ever since losing his World Heavyweight Title to CM Punk's Money in the Bank contract, Jeff Hardy is on a war path to take down Punk to become Champion again. Despite the inevitable departure of Jeff Hardy from the WWE, I have a feeling that this might be Jeff's night.

Unified Tag Team Championship Match
What was believed to be The Canadian Coalition of Edge and Chris Jericho - lead to a tragic injury causing Edge to be out of action for a year. Jericho however has a Championship clause that allows him to pick a new partner for Night of Champions.

WWE Championship Match - Triple Threat
Triple H and John Cena may have worked well together the past two weeks as Tag Team Partners - but that doesn't mean squat when it comes to a title opportunity for the most coveted prize in all the WWE. Randy Orton has been in a Triple Threat match against these two before and has come out on top then and I see him doing the same tonight - especially since he has Rhodes and DiBiase close by.

Final Guesses on Chris Jericho's Mystery Tag Team Partner
Tonight's the night we find out who Chris Jericho has chosen to defend the Unified Tag Team Titles with against Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase.
Tease #1: Two weeks ago on RAW, Mark Henry entered the ring with Chris Jericho, after announcing the clause granting him a new partner, and put his arm around him.
Possibility: No Chance in Hell!!!!
Tease #2: After his match against Mark Henry this past Monday, DiBiase and Rhodes edged Jericho on that he still hasn't chosen a tag team partner.
Story: Since the match between DiBiase and Orton took place, Orton could find a way to punish his lackeys by becoming Jericho's tag team partner - in return Jericho would have to insure that Orton retains in the Triple Threat Match.
Possibility: Highly Unlikely
Tease #3: On Smackdown, Jericho was seen talking to Kane back stage.
Pros: A former WWE and ECW Champion, Kane is also a 9 time Tag Team Champion.
Commonalities: Shared hatred for Rey Mysterio.
Possibility: Interestingly possible.
Tease #4: On the same night, Jericho spoke to The Great Khali.
Pros: Former World Heavyweight Champion and a massive Punjabi Giant.
Cons: Since becoming the Punjabi Playboy - He's turned Face.
Possibility: No Chance in Hell!!!!
These are the choices not mentioned in the WWE:
Christian: Even though he is a face on ECW, he’s been feuding with Tommy Dreamer and seems easily able to turn heel. Plus, he's also a 9 time tag team champion - one of them held with Chris Jericho.
Possibility: Likely
Dolph Ziggler: Quickly becoming a star in the WWE, the two have teamed up together before taking on Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio.
Cons: He has his first title match on the same night Jericho defends the titles. Ziggler also has a steady girlfriend, Maria, who unknowingly helps during his matches.
Possibility: Hopeful
CM Punk: His soap box preaching of his Straight-Edge Lifestyle, and attack against the WWE Universe for using drugs and drinking alcohol - would make a great team mate for Jericho. Together they can parade around the WWE, as the Unified Tag Team Champions, claiming to be better than everyone else.
Pros: Even though Punk cost Jericho and Ziggler the tag team match, he did it to harm Jeff, thus allowing Jericho to attack Hardy with the Code Breaker into the Walls of Jericho.
Commonalities: Both have a hatred for hypocrites.
Possibility: Most Likely
