Jeff Hardy's Contract Update; WWE's Intervention

Rumors have been buzzing around the Internet over Hardy's contract's status. It's been said that WWE is trying to get Jeff to stay for Summerslam, but the Enigma may want to leave after Night of Champions. WWE has been trying to make various contract deals with Jeff, but he claims that he hasn't made up his mind. Indeed, Jeff loves to wrestle but there is more to Jeff than the wrestling world.

The first time he was unceremoniously released from the WWE, Jeff was burnt out from the late nights, and long periods away from home. Jeff has a lot of extra curricular activities: he is the singer of his band Peroxwhy?gen, and creates artwork and aluminummies, tin foil statues, in his world known as the Imag-I-Nation. However, despite the overwhelming fan base, the politics around the WWE have never favored a guy like Jeff to represent the company. He was given a short WWE Title reign that lasted until his 1st title defense, then losing it to undergo a feud with his brother Matt, which would stem for several months.

Even capturing his 2nd World Title was a joke because he held it for about 30 seconds - making him the new Dreamer.
I also feel that the company springs things on Jeff without his knowledge.

When Jeff returned from his second suspension, prior to Judgment Day 2008, he started a feud with MVP. Of course they had to build him back up with smaller feuds, but during a segment of MVP's VIP lounge - MVP tugged at a few strings on Hardy's behalf. MVP stated that the reason Jeff's house burnt down and the death of his dog occurred was due to Hardy's reckless behavior. The tone in Hardy's voice changed drastically - it was no longer a promo spot on a wrestling program - this was a shot at him and exploiting his real life tragedy. It's almost as if, McMahon accepted Jeff back at a price - a price to see how far he could push Jeff until he screws up again. And MVP acted, almost like providing an intervention.

Even checking online via Hulu.com - WWE edited out MVP's mention of Jeff's house and his dog:

However, luckily we live in a world were people upload on YouTube! So this next video (even though in poor quality) is the aired - unedited "intervention" between The Company and Jeff Hardy:

And then the following encounter would leave Hardy to lose control (even poorer quality):

I hate to admit it, but there is a strong possibility that Jeff will not resign back with the company, but instead take time off to pursue his other projects - one being The Hardy Show.

Following him on twitter @JeffHardyBrand - he's been counting down to the end of his contract, possibly as his moment of freedom or when he must decide whether or not he wants to continue his career as a pro-wrestler.

Many are freaking out of Jeff Hardy leaving the WWE, but the man is in his thirties and his body cannot heal like it used to during his twenties.

We all knew there would be a time and a place when he would leave the wrestling business because it was never his true passion. The dream of wrestling belonged to his brother, and together they starting a wrestling path - but Jeff is not committed to the one thing, he's stretched all over the place and he wants the time to do it all.

So instead of dreading the day he leaves, we should be living it up everyday that Jeff wrestles, cause if we over obsess of his leaving the WWE, we are going to miss his final matches and the memories he leaves behind.

Note: Thanks to cdhardy619 and jeucvideos for posting the videos on YouTube.
