RAW Results: 3/8/10 - Pushes and Failures

Major Push for Eve Torres
(Six-Divas Tag Match) Eve Torres, Gail Kim, and Kelly-Kelly vs. Maryse, Alicia Fox, Katie Lea

After pinning Alicia Fox last week in a Diva Pajama Pillow Fight Match, Eve Torres scored the biggest victory of her career by defeating the Divas' Champion in a Six-Divas Tag match. The match also included: Gail Kim, Kelly-Kelly, Alicia Fox, and Katie Lea.

To emphasize, Eve Torres not only defeated Maryse but she made her tap out to the same armbar lock submission that crowned Michelle McCool as the inaugural Divas' Champion - The Bash, 2008.

In addition, it appears that Gail Kim has passed the torch to the 2007 Diva Search Winner. During last week's match, Eve dropped kicked Gail Kim out of the ring in order to capitalize on Alicia Fox; now this week, after submitting the Divas' Champion, Gail Kim raised the arm of Eve Torres as a sign of mutual respect, and transference of status.

Since coming over to SmackDown in 2007, and later being drafted over to RAW during the tri-branded Divas Draft, Eve Torres has been steadily working her way up the ladder, and with a win over Maryse, expect a Championship match.

WWE's Faulty Tag Team Division
ShoMiz vs. John Morrison and R-Truth

The Miz, in regards to the #1 contenders, states that ShoMiz is a dying breed because they are the last great tag team that the WWE has to offer.

A shot at his former tag partner John Morrison, the man who truly carried Miz; or a blatant shot at WWE's lack of development in the tag team division?

During the first half of the last decade, WWE had epic tag team matches, which ranged from TLC, ladder, and championship matches. But after the Invasion died out, WWE were left with two sets of tag titles and not enough tag teams to contend for them. Hence, WWE decided to fuse the titles together.

But after a year since the Unified Tag Team Titles were created, it looks as though WWE has exhausted all of its tag team possibilities, that they must rely on a makeshift team of two elevated midcarders to contend at WrestleMania.

The fault obviously lies with the WWE for its lack of development. Every time a formidable tag team was created, plans of sepration soon followed. Separating teams has always been WWE's rash attempt to create big name stars, such as Shawn Michaels (The Rockers), Edge (The Brood), and Jeff Hardy (The Hardys); yet, it doesn't always work out to that effect. Teams such as The World's Greatest Tag Team, The Colons, Hawkins and Ryder, and Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch suffered severely from the breakups.

In a warm-up match between ShoMiz and John Morrison and R-Truth, the new team disregarded the referee's 5-count and double teamed both members of ShoMiz to state the credibility of the new alliance. But in a championship match, where the rules will matter, Morrison and Truth will have to rely on expert tag team knowledge, which Morrison has, to overcome the Last Great Tag Team.

The Rise, Fall, and Rebirth of The Legacy
(Handicap Match) Randy Orton vs. Legacy

In an age of wrestling where new stars need to emerge, comes the rise, fall, and rebirth of The Legacy. Since its formation in 2008, Randy Orton has been mentoring and pushing both Ted DiBiase Jr. and Cody Rhodes.

Sons of Ted DiBiase and Dusty Rhodes, respectively, these second generation superstars are far from the legendary statuses of their fathers. But, ruled under Orton's iron fist, they have attained their own identities.

Within the past year, signs of Legacy's downfall were eminent. Rhodes and DiBiase were becoming fan favorites, supressed under an unruly Orton. But after his matches against Sheamus, Orton is now associated as the fan favorite.

This week, Randy Orton faced off against Rhodes and DiBiase in a handicap match. Orton attacked Rhodes and DiBiase during their entrance, thus setting the tone of the match. He then dominated the match by establishing his superiority over his proteges. Outmatching Rhodes and DiBiase, Orton continued to conquer each one individually, until Legacy started using their heads. Rhodes, the cause of many of Orton's loses to Sheamus, provided the distraction on the outside, therefore, allowing DiBiase to strike with Dream Street for the win.

The Legacy rose in 2008, it fell in 2010, and the rebirth of two new superstars will be determined.

Evan is 'Air-Bourne' to WrestleMania
(Money in the Bank Qualifying Match) William Regal vs. Evan Bourne

After defeating William Regal, last Thursday on WWE Superstars, Evan Bourne was slated in a rematch against The English Blue Blood, but this time it was for the final spot in the Money in the Bank Ladder match. Learning from the last encounter, Regal overpowered Evan with a hip toss and a butterfly suplex. But he failed to calculate the split-second reaction from Evan Bourne, as he evaded the Knee Trembler. Bourne struck the momentarily distracted Regal with a knee strike, which was followed by Air Bourne. In his fourth-straight victory thus far, Evan Bourne will be going to WrestleMania.

The Final List of Money in the Bank Competitors Are: Shelton Benjamin, Dolph Ziggler, Kane, Matt Hardy, Christian, MVP, Jack Swagger, and Evan Bourne.

WWE's Aborted Superstars
Mr. McMahon vs. John Cena

On a history making Monday Night, where TNA promised the in-ring returns of retirees, Ric Flair and Hulk Hogan, WWE promised a main event pitting the Chairman of the Board, Vincent Kennedy McMahon against John Cena. And not only would McMahon face off against John Cena, but he vowed that he would pin Cena for the 3-count. However, McMahon did not promise that he would actually wrestle John Cena. Therefore, McMahon created stipulations, mid-match, to contour to his benefit.

The first stipulation was a Gauntlet Match involving Vladimir Kozlov, Drew McIntyre, Jack Swagger, and Mark Henry. After Vladimir's Iron Curtain, Drew's Armbar Takedown, Swagger's body splashes, and Mark Henry's World's Strongest Slam, John Cena managed to kick out each time.

McMahon, who covered Cena after each maneuver, out of frustration changed the stipulation to a No-DQ match. Eventually, Batista, who promised that he would not interfere with the match, attacked Cena with two Batista Bombs in a row. McMahon, as promised, pinned Cena.

McMahon's Gauntlet Match incorporated superstars which either the WWE is currently working on, or have given up on:

Vladimir Kozlov: Started out in the WWE Championship picture against Triple-H and Jeff Hardy, until he was banished to ECW. Kozlov was then brought back to SmackDown only because ECW had ended. WWE, realizing their failed attempts at creating a powerhouse superstar in Kozlov, have currently no plans to further his development.

Drew McIntyre: Undefeated until two weeks ago, Drew has lost two consecutive matches and has failed to earn a spot for WrestleMania. Drew McIntyre is still being pushed regardless, possibly having his second loss erased from the record books again, but he has not gone over with the fans.

Jack Swagger: Became the ECW Champion within four-months of signing with the company, was moved over to RAW and, despite a short feud with MVP, has been forgotten. The two-time All American, has the charisma and wrestling ability to carry the company as a World Champion, but WWE may be reluctant due to his lisp.

Mark Henry: Receiving his biggest push about two years ago, when he captured the ECW Title in a Triple Threat match at Night of Champions, Mark Henry has since returned to RAW and has undergone a face-turn. Despite his accomplishments in ECW, the ECW Champion is the equivilent of the mid-carder on RAW.

Elimination Chamber: Intermediate Titles Retained

"The Chosen One" and "The Awesome One" retain

Hand picked by the Chairman of the WWE, Drew McIntyre's ascent in the company is apparent; he now gracefully strides to every match as a symbol of his greatness. Three weeks ago, Drew was involved in a triple-threat qualifier match against John Morrison, the former I-C champion, and Kane. While the rivalry against Morrison over the I-C belt may be over, a feud with Kane is emanate.

A title defense victory over Kane can go either one of two ways: it can either bolster McIntyre's career; or leave it stagnant. Since Kane has been used to elevate numerous superstars in the past, a victory over the Big Red Monster may be insignificant.

McIntyre and Kane's match-up was unwavering, though, there was a major difference in style. While Kane exerted brute force through diving clotheslines and boots to the face, Drew applied more technical maneuvers, such as arm locks and a double underhook DDT known as Future Shock.

Drew McIntyre's Scottish background has most likely been a burden, as he is pressured to become the next best national hero since Rowdy Piper. Dubbed as The Chosen One, Drew has been given a considerable push by becoming the Intercontinental Champion and going undefeated in single's competition since arriving in August 2009. Yet, he hasn't always won every match fairly; the thumb to the eye, obviously an illegal move, has played a vital role of insuring that the Intercontinental Title remains around his waist; hence, how he went on to successfully defend the title against Kane.

In mid-match, Drew turned away from the ring and started ascending back up the ramp in order to be counted out and retain. But Kane, unwilling to let him just walk away, nabbed and rolled him back into the ring. Then when the referee tried to separate the two, McIntyre jabbed Kane in the eye, followed by the Future Shock DDT. But who's to say that McIntyre was not deliberately luring Kane into a false sense of security in order to capitalize? With another title defense under his belt, has McIntyre seen the last of Kane?

After Vickie Guerrero postponed the Divas' Title match for a tedious RAW versus SmackDown Divas' tag team match, MVP issued another challenge for The Miz's United States Title. He claims since he pinned Miz last Monday Night on RAW, it allots him a U.S. title shot. Granted, MVP did pin Miz but in a tag team match, meaning that MVP has the right to challenge for the Unified Tag Team belts, not the single's title belt.

In the second consecutive pay-per-view of the new year, the WWE Universe were treated to another impromptu United States Title bout between the defending champion and MVP. This fifth title match was slightly different, with MVP and The Miz's tag team partners residing in their respective corners.

Since the last title defense, The Miz has become an even bigger superstar in the WWE by teaming up with The Big Show to become the Unified Tag Team Champions. Aside from the two new World Champions, no one is more impressive than "The Awesome One."

The Miz was evidently confident in his abilities as a champion without underestimating the tenacity of MVP. Last Monday, Miz was pinned by taking MVP too lightly, but after executing a double knee buster to a bridging MVP, he would not make that same mistake again. MVP, as well, put out all the stops by tossing Miz off the top turnbuckle with a Belly-to-Belly throw, and going for his signature Ballin' Elbow drop. But with Miz evading the Drive-By kick; instinctively placing his foot on the bottom rope to break a cover; and a right-handed knockout hook by The Big Show, he was able to secured another title defense against MVP. Indeed, MVP had Mark Henry in his corner, but Big Show Irish-whipped him through a barricade, which his massive body destroyed.

With another awesome title defense for The Miz, he will walk into NXT still the United States Champion, and one-half of the Unified Tag Team Champions, as he mentors the internationally famous Daniel Bryan. In addition, it looks as if The Miz and Drew McIntyre will enter WrestleMania XXVI as champions.

The Seventh Annual Tribute to the Troops 2009

First Match: Rey Mysterio & Mark Henry vs. CM Punk & Carlito. This was a random tag match with a blend of SmackDown vs. RAW superstars, and as we learn from later matches that seemed to be the theme. How was CM Punk suppose to win with a partner like Carlito, who hasn't won a match since....? I challenge the reader to find out when. The referee was really lenient throughout, especially when all competitors were in the ring at the same time. After executing a double 619 to Punk and Carlito, both Mark Henry and Mysterio executed their finishing moves. The ref granted Mysterio the pinfall, seeing as he and Punk were the legal man in the ring.

Champion vs. Champion Match: John Morrison vs. The Miz. Obviously this special was recorded earlier this month, because Drew McIntyre is the current Intercontinental champion, not Morrison. The troops had fun booing The Miz and cheering for Morrison, the fight been good and evil - or awesome and arrogance. Similar to their encounter at Bragging Rights, Morrison came up short, except this time, it was with the assist from the top ropes that Miz got the pinfall. Where was Teddy Long to restart the match? That's what I thought! He only restarts matches when it benefits him.

"Santa" Truth meets the Troops. Santa Clause, noticeably played by R-Truth, asked the troops "What's Up?" And it doesn't matter who Santa Clause is, whether its John Cena or JBL, the Divas will always play Santa's sexy helpers. The Bellas, Layla, Alicia Fox, and Kelly Kelly were the helpers this year, passing around WWE merch and stealing kisses from the brave soldiers who protect our freedom, here in the states.

WWE Championship Match: (C) John Cena vs. Chris Jericho. I hate it when they say, "Don't adjust your TV set - so and so is in fact here tonight." Well, when this special was recorded, John Cena was the WWE Champion, and Chris Jericho was still one-half of the Unified Tag Team Champions. No, Chris Jericho, as a member of the SmackDown brand, could not officially contend for RAW's WWE Title; but because this is for the troops - we can make an exception. Chris Jericho did not amount much of an offense against Cena, he pretty much let him do his set moves to break the walls. John Cena won with the Attitude Adjustment and retained the WWE Championship. No title has ever changed at a Tribute to the Troops special, because this is not for the WWE Universe, this was for the Armed Forces.

Final Assessment: The whole night was rather laxed, with no sense of urgency from either superstar. The night wasn't meat to keep with storyline, instead it was meant to entertain the troops, not us.

Sheamus Gets Locker Room Support; Chris Jericho Leaving RAW?

RAW's Guest Host: Verne Troyer (born January 1, 1969) is an American actor and stunt performer. Troyer is notable for his height of 2 ft 8 in (0.81 m), the result of cartilage–hair hypoplasia dwarfism, making him one of the shortest men in the world. He is best known for playing Mini-Me in the Austin Powers series.

Divas Tag Team Match: Divas' Champion, Melina and Gail Kim vs. Maryse and Jillian Hall. This match focused on Melina's anger towards Maryse's sneek attack last week, who compared the Goobley Gooker construct as a Trojan Horse that Melina should have never encountered. Jillian Hall continues to unimpress the fans with her 'wrestling' abilities. Gail Kim continues to act as a filler, and Maryse proves to be the Hogan of the Diva division, a lot of charisma but only a few set moves. Maryse pinned Melina with the French Kiss (DDT), which will put her in line for a future title shot. Justin Roberts almost goofed by announcing, "And the winners is the Diva... Jillian and Marsye!" Nicely done, Roberts, almost announcing the Divas' Champion.

Second Match?: Sheamus vs. Santino Marella. This was not considered an actual match because the bell never rung to official start the match. The #1 contender for John Cena's WWE Championship came to the ring stating that he demanded respect from John Cena, and after throwing him through a table last week, he has no choice. Sheamus has proven his position as the contender by manhandling John Cena. And in 2 weeks, all Sheamus has to do is throw Cena through a table, once more, to be crowned the WWE Champion. His opponent for the night, Santino Marella, was offended that Sheamus didn't mention him. The Milan Miracle started ribbing Sheamus for being jealous of his skin pigments, being a former 2-time Intercontinental champion, and followed up by calling him a lame ass. It shocked me, as it must have others, for Santino to say 'ass' on a PG rated show; but what happened next seemed like WWE's vengeance on those that cuse, a beat down from the Celtic Warrior. Sheamus knocked Marella out with Ramon's Razor Edge, or Crucifixion Powerbomb. He then set up a table and rammed Santino clean through, very hardcore ECW-style. I had serious doubts about Santino, but if one were to get serious heat, then why not destroy everyone's favorite Italian funny man?

Third Match: Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton. As Kofi came down the ramp, he was attacked by Cody Rhodes, then Irish whipped to the steel steps. Kofi tried selling the hit, but he over sold. I couldn't buy that he was really that beat up by a mere trip to the steps. Plus, you would think that after being attacked by Edge at No Way Out 2009, he would be more aware of ambushes down the ramp? Then, from within the ring, Ted DiBiase attacked Kofi. This was truly upsetting, not because Kofi got beat up, but that Orton still relies on Legacy to fight his battles. Randy Orton is too good to need two lackeys to beat up a superstar just climbing the ranks of super stardom. Kofi still wanted to go through the match and fell to the RKO.

Serious Heat Against John Cena. Cena, being Cena, theatrically expressed the war that Sheamus has just started and demanded to take him on one-on-one for the WWE Championship. The crowd went wild, all the Cenation kids were going nuts, until Carlito appeared. This was the worst return strategy I had ever seen. Everyone had forgotten about Carlito, and to see him back at the pinnacle of Cena's big speech, really brought people down. Carlito has been absent from the WWE since Flyod Mayweather knocked him out in a backstage segment. Carlito expressed how he may not like Sheamus, but everyone, including himself, cannot wait for Cena to lose the WWE Title. And this hatred is not just in the RAW locker room, no, no, it expands to the ECW and SmackDown locker rooms. Why, because John Cena is the face of the company, and others, who will most likely never get a chance, are tired of him being the corporate champion. Future legends, Triple H, The Rock, and Stone Cold were all Corporate Champions at one point in their careers, and John Cena is currently following the same path, not like they will ever label him as such. But The Governor has lit a match within the WWE and the locker room is a blazing forest fire waiting for Sheamus to become Champion. John Cena, before Carlito could spit apple, executed the Attitude Adjuster. This is such a stupid name for the move, seeing as Carlito's, or anyone else's, attitude surely did not change towards Cena.

Fourth Match: Mark Henry vs. The Miz. United States Champion, The Miz ribbed RAW's Guest Host, Verne Troyer, beautifully. He insulted Verne's height, his movie choices, and then imitated Fat Bastard, from the Austin Powers series, when Mark Henry walked out. And this is what opened the show to a whole new concept, Where's Henry's Personality? Well, it wasn't in dancing, cause he fell and squashed Jillian Hall. And it's not in rapping, seeing as only a few people started clapping - wow, that rhymed. And as for punishment, Verne set up this match, the only match he called, to get back at Miz for making fun of him and being mean to him. Mark Henry defeated Miz with the World's Strongest Slam. Afterwards, Verne celebrated with the other RAW Divas: Kelly Kelly, Eve, and The Bellas. There was absolutely no pop for this 'celebration.'

Main Event: Triple H vs. Chris Jericho. Have you noticed? DX uses their strongest team member against Jeri-Show's weakest. And what was up with the stipulation? If Triple H lost, next week it would be Jeri-Show vs. Triple H in a handicap match; but, if Jericho lost, it would then be DX vs. Chris Jericho in a handicap match. This was a terrible stipulation, why not have Jeri-Show vs. Shawn Michaels, or DX vs. Big Show if either member lost? And as for their match at TLC, DX are not a faction that ever cared about the tag team titles, it was never their M.O. but to pull pranks and sell merchandise. Jeri-Show prides themselves on being the Unified Tag Team Champions, but H makes a point: Chris Jericho is a SmackDown superstar, and once he loses the title, which grants him access to all three shows, will no longer be allowed to appear on RAW. With the referee distracted, Big Show struck Triple H with the K.O. Punch. He was ejected from the arena, followed by Shawn Michaels, who Superkicked Jericho (unknown to the ref of course). Jericho attempted the Codebreaker, counterfed by an attempted Pedigree, which was countered by an attempted Walls of Jericho. The Game managed to kick free and went for the roll up for the win. Seeing as Triple H lost to Jeff Hardy twice with the roll up, seems Triple H has learned to appreciate it. As per the stip, Chris Jericho will face off against DX in a handicap match.

Final Assessment: This was a terrible edition of RAW, I had high hopes that Verne Troyer would not only be the judge in the Little People's Court case involving DX and Hornswoggle, but issue a small people wrestling match. Hornswoggle and Verne had just one vignette of interaction time, which Verne suggested that he should sue DX for all they're worth. The whole Mark Henry personality push was a wasted effort, and a waste of The Miz's talent. MVP is sadly being misused in this tag team. If WWE wants guest hosts, then it is important to choose people who actually will contribute to making the show better.

WWE Superstars Results: Zack is Saved by the Cell; Ugly Use of Jimmy Wang Yang

ECW Match: Shelton Benjamin vs. Zack Ryder w/Rosa Mendes. The third match between these top ECW Superstars witnessed a strange, but different outcome. On ECW, Ryder demanded another rematch to prove that he could beat him, but did he really earn the victory? By the end of the match, Rosa noticed Ryder's cellphone ringing and called for him to answer it, in mid-match! She actually had the unprofessional audacity to enter the ring after she dropped the phone. The referee almost called the match while frantically ordering her to get out of the ring. Even Ryder pleaded her to leave, until she screamed at a flying Shelton, leaping onto the top turnbuckle - in hopes of attacking Ryder, while endangering Rosa. Zack, then, knocked Benjamin off and went for the cover. What looked like another easy win for Shelton, turned out to be Ryder's big Pay-off for having Rosa at ring-side. In the realm of professional wrestling, a wins a win, and you win by any means necessary.

SmackDown Match: Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Eric Escobar w/Vickie Guerrero. This was a disgusting display of professional wrestling. James Yun, aka Wang Yang, is an amazing high-flying wrestler who should not be jobbing to... another failed attempt of a Puerto Rican superstar. WWE should focus on building the Puerto-Ricans that they already have - The Colons - rather than trying with this uncharismatic "Puerto-Rican Nightmare." James Yun can actually wrestle, which is more than I can say for half of the WWE roster. Yun was a part of an amazing faction back in WCW, Jung Dragons, and to be in WWE as a jobber for Escobar? WWE clearly needs a real creative team that actually knows of which wrestlers should be pushed and others that should just be released. Eric Escobar won with a combination of Vickie's screaming and a running drop kick. Escobar covered Yang in, what I like to call, the Vickie-Mix Pin because it looks like the love making position he would apply on his manager/lover.

RAW Match: Mark Henry vs. Cody Rhodes. Last week on WWE Superstars, MVP got the better of Ted DiBiase, but would the other half of Legacy have a better shot of taking down "The World's Strongest Man?" And seeing as Randy Orton pinned Mark Henry two weeks ago, you would think Rhodes would also get the job done? We all know that WWE Superstars are pre-recorded extra matches, but to pretend that it actually takes place on Thursday is a little much; because this weeks edition of WWE Superstars saw the extreme difference between the Philadelphia arena and Madison Square Garden. Rhodes attempted to take out Mark Henry's legs, which, with two knee braces, seems like the best tactic to take down the Kool-Aid Behemoth. But the World's Strongest Man pinned Rhodes, not in front of the fictitious WWE Superstars audience, but the New Yorkers at Madison Square Garden. The World's Strongest Tag Team and Kofi Kingston enter the Survivor Series with the momentum for their team; however, CM Punk and William Regal, with wins over Christian and R-Truth, carry the momentum for Orton's team. Which team will survive come this Sunday?

WWE Superstars Results: The Million Dollar Son, Not Ballin;' Rosa Unable to Mend Ryder's Career

SmackDown Match: Matt Hardy vs. David Hart Smith. After the assault from Batista last week, would Matt Hardy be able to overcome The Hart Dynasty's greatest challenge? DH Smith is the son of "The British Bulldog," Davey Boy Smith and the nephew of Bret and Owen Hart; but despite his legacy, Matt Hardy is a multi-time champion within the WWE, and should not be taken lightly. Todd Grisham, who attempted to get an interview earlier with Smith, was greeted by Natalya, the mouth-piece of the Hart Dynasty. And she claims that DH Smith is in a class of his own because he is a master of suplexes and throw away slams. Matt Striker seemed to disagree as DH Smith only executed suplexes, especially one off the top turnbuckle. Matt Hardy attempted the Twist of Fate and a Side-Effect, but none would keep Smith down for the three-count. It was thanks to an attempted distraction from Tyson Kidd, that forced Charles Robinson to send both him and Natalya back to the locker rooms. While DH Smith was distraught over the referee's decision, Matt Hardy went for the small package pin to win the match.

ECW Match: Shelton Benjamin vs. Zack Ryder w/Rosa Mendes. On ECW, Ryder, despite being distracted in his last match, invited Rosa Mendes to be ring-side during his matches; in turn, Shelton Benjamin, who scored an easy win during their last encounter, would experience a similar outcome. As mentioned during the SmackDown Match, Matt Striker was not impressed by Smith's lack of throw-away slams, but would have been impressed by Shelton's throw-away slam. Later during the match, Zack Ryder fell over the top rope, in which Rosa went to attend the fallen superstar. Ryder was so smitten by her that he failed to realize that the referee counted to 10. And for some reason, Ryder dashed back into the ring only to be hit with Pay Dirt. Zack Ryder should seriously reconsider having Mendes around; but all-in-all, Shelton scores another victory.

RAW Match: MVP w/Mark Henry vs. Ted DiBiase w/Cody Rhodes. DiBiase believes that if anyone is ballin' it's him, because he is the son of the Million Dollar Man. This match was the debut of the newly named tag team, "The World's Strongest Tag Team." I don't know about anyone else, but first off: it's a knock off of "The World's Greatest Tag Team" name; and seeing as Jeri-Show has defeated them twice, doesn't really convey that they are the 'Strongest.' So is this where MVP's career heading? He can pull it off seeing as he was once one-half of the WWE Tag Team Champions with Matt Hardy, but I had high hopes for him as a singles' competitor. Especially when he bad mouthed Randy Orton on his first night on RAW, I saw him contending for the WWE Title... but he's tag teaming with Mark Henry. Orton should have recruited him when he had the chance. MVP attempted to win the match with a combo Ballin' Elbow and Playmaker, but DiBiase kicked out. And Rhodes tried to distract MVP, but "The World's Strongest Man" irish-whipped him to the turnbuckle; whence, DiBiase went for a neck breaker but was countered into a small package by MVP to end the match. Randy Orton may have pinned Mark Henry on RAW, but MVP pinned DiBiase and proves that he is BALLIN'!!!

WWE Superstars Results: The Miz Punks Morrison; WSM Joins RAW Team

Last night's WWE Superstars featured a match from each show, and with Bragging Rights less than 2 weeks away, every match is crucial.

RAW Match:" WSM" Mark Henry vs. "The Masterpiece" Chris Masters. This was the final qualifying match for the final slot on the RAW Team, captained by D-Generation X. Mark Henry is the world's strongest man, that is not a moniker, he is indeed, but how would he fare with a bum knee? The medical bands around the knee of Mark Henry was the result of his tag team match, with MVP, against Masters and Guerrero just 2 weeks ago on RAW. How fitting that Henry would have to face, possibly the most impressive specimen of human body sculpting, Chris Masters. The match seemed decent at first, but it was obvious who would win the match. With MVP losing his qualifying spot to Jack Swagger, it would only make sense that the other half of the tag team would make it. Masters, near the end of the match, attempted the Master Lock, but, as King said, his arms aren't long enough to wrap around Mark Henry. With a quick release of The World's Strongest Slam, WSM fills the final slot on the RAW team.

The RAW Team is finalized: DX, Cody Rhodes, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston, Mark Henry, and The Big Show.

ECW Match: Vladimir Kozlov vs. Tommy Dreamer. Last week, Dreamer and Goldust lost miserably to the team of Kozlov and Jackson, and this week would be the same in singles competition. Goldust already lost to Jackson on this week's ECW, it was only a matter of time for Dreamer to fall as well. Dreamer either did well for lasting so long in a match, or Kozlov allowed him to remain as long as he did. The Moscow Mauler focused on the right arm of Tommy Dreamer, vital to Dreamer's finishing DDT. But with an Iron Curtain, Kozlov proves dominate yet again.

Note: WWE Bragging Rights is a SmackDown vs. RAW pay-per-view, so ECW will not appear on the card.

SmackDown Match: Intercontinental Champion, John Morrison vs. CM Punk (Non-Title). Despite their run in for the ECW Championship back in 2007, Morrison (now a face) and Punk (now a heel) have jump started their rivalry. And so far the records stands 2-1 in favor of John Morrison. Filling in for J.R. on commentary, was guest commentator, United States Champion, The Miz. Both The Miz and John Morrison, former tag team partners, will face off at Bragging Rights. The Miz already knows everything there has to about Morrison's offense - so why was he there? - to screw up the match. It was obvious before the match started, it's classic wrestling feud 101. The Miz claims Morrison's downfall is his high flying, much like Jeff Hardy, and that in 2 weeks, the better of the team will emerge. Morrison had CM Punk set up for Starship Pain but The Miz interfered and attacked Punk, thus awarding the win via DQ to CM Punk. However, John Morrison got the last say-so by connecting with a Flying Chuck to the forehead of CM Punk. The record now stands at: 2-2.

Tonight marks the return of The Dirt Sheet. What will these two have in store for each other on the Friday Edition of SmackDown?

Trish Brings Stratusfaction; Batista Going to SmackDown

RAW kicked off with the return of "The Animal" Dave Batista. Not too long ago did we witness the return of Batista, the crowning as the new WWE Champion, followed by the relinquishing of the title in a matter of weeks. Why? Because Batista is prone to injury, he's not built to last and endure.

Knowing this, and with Legacy destroying the arm of Batista - after he injured it in the Steel Cage Match at Extreme Rules the night before - would Batista's announcement involve him retiring from the WWE?

In a matter of seconds, Randy Orton came out to take credit - because the reason why Batista was leaving the WWE is because of him!

Batista found humor in Orton's predictability - showing up to reap the benefits - but Batista's announcement wasn't that he was leaving the WWE but that he was leaving RAW to go over to Smackdown - and as an added bonus, the host of Monday Night RAW, agreed to his request on his final match on the RAW Roster, a No Holds Barred Match against Randy Orton. A match that he would go on to dominate with the help of the new WWE Champion John Cena.

The real reason behind Batista's sudden change over to Smackdown is because Jeff Hardy's departure from the WWE, and Edge's recent injury, has hindered the brand of Superior Superstar Power. Undertaker was forced to come back from hiatus sooner than he had intended to help fill the void. But also, The Undertaker will have to undergo hip surgery in the coming months - so Batista will then carry the brand as the top face.

In all honesty, Smackdown doesn't need Batista, it has enough talent to carry the brand on it's own. And there is no way to replicate the majesty that was WrestleMania 23 - The Undertaker vs Batista. In my opinion it should have been Shawn Michaels to transfer over to Smackdown. But as of right now he is busy doing what WWE failed to do, and that's build up new superstars over on RAW.

This past Monday Night, RAW got a dose of Stratusfaction as the 7-time Women's Champion started off RAW in a big way.

First to note, Trish Stratus no longer has blonde hair, but she is a brunette now - which so threw me off.

Also, Trish revealed two matches that would take place at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. Randy Orton will have his rematch against John Cena for the WWE Title inside a Hell in a Cell. And if that were not enough to get the juices flowing, then how about... wait... are you ready? Are you ready to see DX face off against Legacy in the first tag team Hell in a Cell Match? (This ppv theme is going to get old real quick).

And she wouldn't be the Queen of Queens if she didn't asign some sort of Diva's action: a #1 Contender's match to determine Mickie James' next opponent for the Diva's Title. It was Alicia Fox versus Gail Kim - with high hopes that we would witness a rematch between Kim and James ended up seeing Alicia Fox as the winner with the King Booker Scissors Kick. Congrats to Alicia, you've gone a long way from making out with Edge as his wedding planner - yeah, that's right, I haven't forgotten.

Trish also signed off on the Batista versus Orton - No Holds Barred Match for the main event but after being confronted by both Beth Phoenix (for not putting her in a #1 Contenders match) and Chris Jericho (when isn't he confronting a RAW host? Even though he's on SMACKDOWN!), Trish Stratus issued a Mix-Gendered Tag Team match to take place: Trish and MVP vs. Jericho and Phoenix.

Beth Phoenix feels that Trish left the WWE because she was afraid of the new competition (that is The Glamazon), but has everyone forgotten already? Trish made a special guest appearance on RAW last year and teamed up with John Cena to take on Beth and Santino Marella. It's not like it hasn't been done before.

The match was interrupted by The Big Show - so as the Host and having all the power in the RAW Universe - she restarted the match, but as a 6-person tag team match (the 6th being Mark Henry of course). The match ended with Trish Stratus hitting the Stratusfear (Turnbuckle Handstand Headscissors Takedown) followed by Stratusfaction (Springboard Bulldog).

Not only did Trish Stratus host a great RAW, but she pinned Beth Phoenix the Glamazon.

Unified Tag Team, ECW, and US Champions Retain at Breaking Point

Last Night at Breaking Point – a new concept where the main events are submission type matches – witnessed the official formation of MVP and Mark Henry; Titles Retained, Points Made; a New Champion; and a Screw Job.

The first match was for the Unified Tag Team Titles, now reckon, this was not fought under submission rules. This was a clean cut match, well as clean cut as you can get when dealing with Chris Jericho and The Big Show.

Now, Mark Henry and MVP may not have won the belts, but they looked like Champions last night. They entered the ring with matching uniforms. As of last Mark Henry has been sporting red and, last night, Montel Vontavious Porter did the same. The two superstars had their monograms styled on their backs: MVP and WSM (World’s Strongest Man).

The match started up strong with the challengers isolating Jericho in the corner. They acted quickly, with quick tags. However, when Big Show got into the ring, Henry tried power slamming The World’s Largest Athlete again, but to no avail.

Despite the great effort by these two, and the fluid motion and agility – a K.O. Punch to the side of Mark Henry leaves Jericho to pin The World’s Strongest Man.

Mind you, the referee had his back turned, but that’s just smart tag team action. You do what ever you can to get the win, no matter what. To some that’s more of a way of life than just a motivation.

The ECW Championship match was longer than 8-seconds, but it came at a price. The match clearly stated that William Regal would have both Kozlov and Jackson at ringside. Seeing as this is Breaking Point – over coming the odds would be Christian’s breaking point. However, Tiffany notified the referee prior to the match that both Kozlov and Jackson would be banned from the arena, leaving Regal to fly solo.

William Regal had all the momentum going into this match – with great promos and a legion of followers – it was wrong of Tiffany to ban them from ringside. Most of the great heels of our generation have a legion or lackeys that help them out. Just like Orton has Legacy and Edge had La Familia – Regal has his United Front.

Christian retained his title with a Killswitch that left William Regal down for the 1-2-3.

The Breaking Point pay-per-view featured a United States Title match, that was added to the card just over the weekend – as WWE found it wiser to build the feud with John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler – seeing as Rey Mysterio is suspended so the initial Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler could not take place.

WWE ruined the build up for the US Title during The American Dream’s day of hosting – putting on a Fatal Four Way with all the possible contenders. The build up was rushed and left for a descent title match.

It wasn’t until WWE Superstars 9/10/09 that The Miz made his re-statement. In a tag team match with The Miz teaming with Jack Swagger against Kofi Kingston and Primo, The Miz pinned the Jamaican Superstar with The Skull Crushing Finale.

However, The Miz failed, once again, to capture the United States Title. Maybe John Morrison is right – out of their success: John Morrison, by winning the Intercontinental Title, is the Shawn Michaels, and The Miz is the Marty Jannety.

Bob Barker COME ON DOWN!!!; MVP and Mark Henry Gain Momentum

The Legendary game show host of "The Price is Right," entertained the WWE Universe in a special night of RAW entitled: "The Price is RAW!"

The voice of Price is RAW was none other than WWE Hall of Famer, Howard "The Fink" Finkle. For those who are too young to know, Howard Finkle was the main ring announcer for WWF/E for it's first 30 years.

Bob Barker started the show in true game show fashion by having Fink call out the contestants to guess the price.

The contestants were: Santino Marella, Jillian Hall, Irwin R. Schyster (I.R.S.), and Chris!

Jericho was not at all pleased at being called Chris, "I am Mr. Jericho to you!"

The prize called into question was the Smackdown 10th Anniversary 3-Disc DVD Set available on Sept. 15th.

Mr. Jericho ended up winning the guess with $1 and had the chance to win an all-expense paid vaction to Hawaii - being displayed by the lovely Bellas in grass skirts - yes I know... great stuff.

All Jericho had to do was defeat his opponent and he could soak up the rays in sunny Hawaii.

Yet, that opponent was none other than Montel Vontavious Porter, MVP!

Last week, both MVP and Mark Henry had their respective matches with their opponents this Sunday, Chris Jericho and Big Show. MVP lost last week, and Mark Henry won via disqualification on the part of the Big Show.

This week the tables turned...

A match up between MVP and Chris Jericho is always fun to watch, because both are sound technical wrestlers and they have explosive personalities.

In addition, MVP is primed to become RAW's main eventer. Ever since he's face turn, the crowds have really been backing him up. I think the WWE should start plugging MVP in for the WWE Title hunt - you know, shake things up a bit. Isn't this why we have the draft every year?

MVP rolls up Jericho for the 3 count and gains momentum for this Sunday.

The following contest was to guess the prize of an All-Axxcess Gold Pass to WrestleMania XXVI, which Santino guessed the price.

Yet, Santino had the opportunity to win a hot tub - featuring the Bella twins in some nice red bikini's playing in the tub. Santino, you gotta love the guy, asked if they Bella twins came with the hot tub because he wanted to make Bella-Santino soup, ha!

All Santino had to do was win The Slam contest and he would be the proud owner of the tub. Well... easier said than down when your opponent is The Big Show.

Really? Big Show didn't even break a sweat, in one bodyslam - Show won.

But don't celebrate yet Show, because his next opponent for The Slam contest was his opponent for this Sunday - Mark Henry.

Last week, Big Show lost the match but it was Mark Henry who was laid out in the ring.

Now... A Slam Contest - I haven't heard of this concept since WrestleMania against Andre the Giant and Big John Stud for $15,000 in a bag.

Honestly, Santino was going to lose to Big Show - but Mark Henry can at least even it out and replicate the John Stud vs Andre match.

Proving that he is the Worlds Strongest Man, Mark Henry bodyslams the Big Show gaining momentum as well for this Sunday's Unified Tag Team Title bout.

It's easy to have all the momentum going into the match - so did Cryme Tyme - but when it comes down to it, this is not a singles match, it's the mark of how well you can communicate in the ring with one another. And unlike last time, Mayweather won't be their to pass a pair of brass knuckles.

So to MVP and Mark Henry, goodluck to your match this Sunday, you will need it.

McMahon Pins WWE Champion at 64!; Floyd "Money" Mayweather Did Nothing!

Last night’s RAW celebrated Mr. Vincent Kennedy McMahon’s 64th Birthday.

At the start of the program, it was confirmed that the crazed fan was indeed Ted DiBiase’s brother – Bret DiBiase who bought a ticket to the show in order to see his brother fight DX.

Legacy stated that they did not ask for Bret’s help – and that regardless of the interference, Randy Orton would have still won the match.

McMahon announced that the referee’s call last night is final and that Randy Orton is still the WWE Champion.

But in 3 weeks, were all the main events have submission themes, Randy Orton will have to defend the WWE title against John Cena in an “I Quit” match. And if anyone interferes on behalf of Randy Orton – the title will automatically be awarded to John Cena.

Before McMahon had a chance to leave the ring, DX entered the ring and were uneasy with “nice guy” McMahon. It was then that they figured out that it was McMahon’s birthday – and to celebrate Vegas Style (while still upholding the PG content) brought in Show Girls, 2 guys from Cirque du Soleil, Elvis, and a giant birthday cake – with a big fat surprise (Big Dick Johnson).

Yet, before DX could give McMahon their final gift – Legacy spoiled the festivities.

Triple H, seeing as Floyd “Money” Mayweather still had not arrived, created a main event for tonight – the 3 members of Legacy vs. D-Generation X and Mr. McMahon.

The Divas once again had a tag team match in honor of the guest host – A Mayweather Mele – with all the divas dressed in boxing attire. However, it would still be contested as a wrestling match.

Mayweather finally made his appearance after the Unified Tag Team Champions called him out.

Side Note: The new JeriShow entrance theme is awesome – The Chris Jericho portion of the theme has more of a hard rock sound. Closer to the Chris Jericho theme release on WWE The Music Vol. 8. Good thing it was changed.

Floyd still feels pretty big about beating The Big Show last year at Wrestlemania XXIV. But, as Jericho stated, it’s easy to beat someone when you have 16 people jumping in.

Chris Jericho, standing tall over Mayweather, proclaimed that Floyd is not the greatest fighter and that he foresees Juan Manuel Marquez wiping the floor with him on Sept. 19th.

The WWE probably stalled for Mayweather’s entrance because of the police investigation involving a shoot-out outside a Skating rink in Las Vegas.

Mayweather did not book any matches whatsoever, and his in-ring personality… wait, he HAS NO personality.

MVP had to bail out Mayweather by booking his own match and passing it off as Mayweather’s idea.

MVP’s stipulation was that if he could find a partner and defeat JeriShow in a non-title match – then they would get a title shot at the Breaking Point PPV.

MVP’s partner turned out to be none other than “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry.

Since their last encounter as Night of Champions 2008, where Henry became the ECW Champion in a Triple Threat Match against Big Show and Kane – I’ve wanted to see these two giants clash – The World’s Strongest Man vs. The World’s Largest Athlete.

Yet, MVP was pretty much in the whole match. Mark Henry was tagged in for 2 moves and then MVP tagged back in. And Cole announced that Henry tags in a fresh MVP. Fresh? MVP had two seconds to rest from an 8 minute match!

I hope it’s that WWE is conserving Henry’s strength for Breaking Point – where he can administer some real pain.

Remember when Chris Jericho wanted Henry as his partner – “We can cause unbelievable pain, but I didn’t come out here to be your partner – I came out here to be your opponent!”

Mayweather sitting at ring side was completely boring as he had nothing to shout out. He did pass MVP a pair of brass knuckles to strike Jericho while the ref wasn’t looking – Thus, granting MVP and Mark Henry a title shot at Breaking Point.

I do like the pairing of these two – finally! A real challenged for Big Show and Chris Jericho. Cryme Tyme may be funny in their antics, but JeriShow needs a REAL challenge.

Mayweather’s final segment was helping McMahon train for his tag team match with DX.

Thank you Mayweather for absolutely nothing! I hated his match against Big Show at Wrestlemania XXIV and he proved completely useless tonight of RAW. In my book he may be 39-0 in the boxing world, but in the wrestling world he’s 0-2.

Now… as for the DX-McMahon vs. Legacy match. It was good – definitely a flight of Stairs down from their encounter with Legacy at SummerSlam.

But of course you cannot go all out with another PPV caliber match on cable TV.

That’s why WWE Universe pays the big bucks to see quality matches – sometimes.

Orton tried escaping the match, but (wondering when he was going to show up) John Cena threw Orton back into the ring.

Randy was destroyed as he was super-kicked by Michaels and Attitude Adjusted by Cena.

This allowed McMahon to get the cover on the WWE Champion Randy Orton – Happy Birthday Mr. McMahon from the WWE Universe – the reason why we can watch WWE.

Time Foretold Randy's Next Challenge; "The Masterpiece" Returns

Much controversy surrounds the Triple Threat Match at Night of Champions: Who was Randy Orton tapping out to? Why didn’t the referee ring the bell to Orton submitting? Shouldn’t Orton have been disqualified for the interference of Legacy?

These answers have and will remain buried through the passing of the pay-per-view. The WWE Universe must now look forward to SummerSlam.

To determine Randy Orton’s opponent for SummerSlam, RAW’s Guest Host, Shaquille O’Neal issued a “Beat the Clock” Challenge.

The five challengers chosen to compete in the tournament were Mark Henry, MVP, Triple H, Jack Swagger, and John Cena.

Mary Henry started the tournament against Carlito. One would assume that this would be a quick 1-2-3, but Carlito kept his distance from the World’s Strongest Man. Yet, speed wasn’t enough to avoid Mark Henry’s World’s Strongest Slam – setting the time to beat 6:49.

The next runner up was MVP. He may not have walked out Night of Champions the United States Champion, but this challenge was an opportunity for a shot at the WWE Title. However, after two years, “The Masterpiece” Chris Masters has returned to the WWE, and set to be MVP’s “Clock Challenge” opponent. MVP’s chances of winning were slim since, Masters’ physical appearance resembles that of a Greek god, and his modified full nelson, The Master Lock, is almost unbreakable. Yet, after several attempts to avoid this deadly lock, Masters managed to lock it in - outside of the ring: causing a double count out.

- Since MVP was counted out, he would not advance in the challenge.

The time to beat still remained 6:49, but with Triple H battling Cody Rhodes, it was almost a guarantee that Triple H would advance – key word, ‘almost.’

Prior to the match backstage, Rhodes and DiBiase jumped Triple H from behind and attacked his leg. With this in mind, Rhodes applied the Figure-Four leg lock but Triple H would not submit. As all the momentum shifted over to the Cerebral Assassin, DiBiase climbed the side of the ring – distracting the Game long enough for time to expire. Time would eventually run out as Triple H went for the cover after the Pedigree. Rhodes and DiBiase stopped Triple H from advancing but at a price. Next week, Triple H has issued a handicapped match: Triple H vs. Rhodes and DiBiase – because sometimes you come across a guy, you never should have messed with.

Not really sure what Orton was thinking, because if they stop anyone else from advancing, he would be facing Mark Henry at SummerSlam for the WWE Title – Henry pinned Orton on his first night on RAW, what would stop him from doing it again?

Jack Swagger, exuding the cockiness of a young Orton, was certain that he would advance because he’s bigger, faster, stronger, and younger than the WWE Champion. His opponent was the high flying Evan Bourne – showcasing a new entrance theme and his new WWE Official T-Shirt [Buy Now]. The WWE Creative team is unsure what to do with Bourne – but pinning Jack Swagger within the time to beat seems like a good start. It may not be certain how Bourne will be used, but after pinning the former ECW Champion – things could only go up for Evan “Air” Bourne.

The final Beat the Clock match was John Cena vs. The Miz. Honestly, why not just give Cena the win? Why sit through five matches when it was obvious that The Miz would lose to Cena yet again? The Miz not only failed to run the clock out, but he submitted to the STF. So come SummerSlam, it will be John Cena facing Randy Orton for the WWE Title. Let’s hope that this is not a repeat of No Way Out ’08 – For those who don’t remember, Orton struck the referee to retain the title through disqualification. It was also considered a great waste of Cena’s Royal Rumble winnings.

Final Guesses on Chris Jericho's Mystery Tag Team Partner

Tonight's the night we find out who Chris Jericho has chosen to defend the Unified Tag Team Titles with against Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase.

Since Jericho announced the search for a new partner, he's teased the WWE Universe with possibly partners.

Tease #1: Two weeks ago on RAW, Mark Henry entered the ring with Chris Jericho, after announcing the clause granting him a new partner, and put his arm around him.

Pros: Henry's the World Strongest Man, and last year's Night of Champions - he defeated both The Big Show and Kane for the ECW Title.

Cons: Mark Henry has turned face.

Possibility: No Chance in Hell!!!!

Tease #2: After his match against Mark Henry this past Monday, DiBiase and Rhodes edged Jericho on that he still hasn't chosen a tag team partner.

Jericho told them - How do you know my partner isn't Orton?

Story: Since the match between DiBiase and Orton took place, Orton could find a way to punish his lackeys by becoming Jericho's tag team partner - in return Jericho would have to insure that Orton retains in the Triple Threat Match.

Possibility: Highly Unlikely

Tease #3: On Smackdown, Jericho was seen talking to Kane back stage.

Pros: A former WWE and ECW Champion, Kane is also a 9 time Tag Team Champion.

Commonalities: Shared hatred for Rey Mysterio.

Possibility: Interestingly possible.

Tease #4: On the same night, Jericho spoke to The Great Khali.

Pros: Former World Heavyweight Champion and a massive Punjabi Giant.

Cons: Since becoming the Punjabi Playboy - He's turned Face.

Possibility: No Chance in Hell!!!!

These are the choices not mentioned in the WWE:

Christian: Even though he is a face on ECW, he’s been feuding with Tommy Dreamer and seems easily able to turn heel. Plus, he's also a 9 time tag team champion - one of them held with Chris Jericho.

Possibility: Likely

Dolph Ziggler: Quickly becoming a star in the WWE, the two have teamed up together before taking on Jeff Hardy and Rey Mysterio.

Cons: He has his first title match on the same night Jericho defends the titles. Ziggler also has a steady girlfriend, Maria, who unknowingly helps during his matches.

Possibility: Hopeful

CM Punk: His soap box preaching of his Straight-Edge Lifestyle, and attack against the WWE Universe for using drugs and drinking alcohol - would make a great team mate for Jericho. Together they can parade around the WWE, as the Unified Tag Team Champions, claiming to be better than everyone else.

Pros: Even though Punk cost Jericho and Ziggler the tag team match, he did it to harm Jeff, thus allowing Jericho to attack Hardy with the Code Breaker into the Walls of Jericho.

Commonalities: Both have a hatred for hypocrites.

Possibility: Most Likely

How, How, How... did ZZ Top do on Monday Night RAW?

After Orton issued a handicapped Tag Team match of Legacy versus John Cena and Triple H - the WWE Universe were introduced to ZZ Top, Dusty Hill and Billy Gibbons.

Huge fans of the WWE, they once recorded an entrance theme for Nicholas "Wild Thing" Bauer - at Stone Cold Steve Austin's request; they are the first ever co-hosts of Monday Night RAW and were ecstatic to be running the show tonight.

Santino Marella arrived on the scene calling them "Zzzzzzz Top!" and switching their first names - Dusty Gibbons and Billy Hill; but still claiming to be a huge fan of theirs. In honor of his "devotion," Hill fitted Santino with an honorary chest-length, ZZ Top signature, beard, and a pair of "Cheap Sunglasses" to complete the trio for tonight. Santino looked more like a Muppet from Sesame Street - with an oversized beard and shades - quite comedic.

It was also nice of ZZ Top to let Santino play - even if it was air guitar... with an actual guitar.

After the Big Show proved his dominance in the after match of the six man tag team match - ZZ Top plugged in their summer tour with Aerosmith - how did we not see that one coming...

When ZZ Top almost proved to be completely worthless, Jericho showed up to meet the icons of Rock n' Roll and requested a jamming session - seeing as he is the lead singer of his rock band, Fozzy.

Hill and Gibbons had no idea who Fozzy were, but they did know that they wanted Chris Jericho to face off against "The World's Strongest Man" Mark Henry. And when asked "How?" The Trio started playing "La Grange" in response to Jericho's "How, how, how."

If one match were not enough to prove their status as hosts - ZZ Top outsmarted Chavo Guerrero into accepting another match against Hornswoggle in a "Sharp Dressed Man" match - how interesting that the match also so happens to be the title to one of their smash hits! Do we see a pattern forming here?

And lets not forget their other hit single, "Legs" featuring the Divas of Monday Night RAW: Kelly Kelly, Alicia Fox, Gail Kim, Rosa Mendes, and Santino? The music was all a blair until Santino showed off his legs, in which the music cut - That's when ZZ Top decided to cut out. As a farewell to the whole ZZ Top gimmick - the Divas then contested in a ZZ Top "Legs" tag team match.

And it would not be complete without ZZ Top riding into the arena in, non other than, the red 1933 Ford 3-window coupe hot rod "The Eliminator."

I will go on to say that ZZ Top really had no business hosting Monday Night RAW, just like Seth Green, it's all a gimmick to plug their own projects. At least Seth made matches throughout the night - ZZ Top made two matches and played music the whole time. If it were not for Santino Marella jamming alongside them in a ZZ Top makeover - the whole ZZ Top angle would have been a total flop.

A Million Dollar Investment in Ted DiBiase Jr.

The Legacy team have provided numerous distractions and interferences to ensure that Randy Orton remains WWE Champion, yet, how has Orton repaid them?

After Legacy lost the Unified Tag Team Title match at The Bash, due to Teddy Long adding the newly formed team of Chris Jericho and Edge, Ted DiBiase Jr. questioned Orton's lack of support in their title pursuits.

On Monday Night RAW, “The Million Dollar Man” Ted DiBiase, the special guest General Manager, provided Legacy with career-defining matches: Cody Rhodes against “The World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry; and his son, Ted DiBiase Jr., against WWE Champion Randy Orton.

Cody Rhodes requested that DiBiase change the match; but instead, Cody received an earful from the diabolic "Million Dollar Man." “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes, Cody’s father, is still considered DiBiase's leading archrival since 1990. The match was left unchanged, resulting in Cody Rhodes counting himself out.

Ted DiBiase is the Million Dollar Man because he has always been a smart investor, from the Million Dollar Belt, to the Ring Master, Steve Austin, so naturally he would invest in his son's future. The opportunity to face Randy Orton in a non-title match would further prove DiBiase's claims of his son destined to become WWE Champion.

The DiBiase-Orton match was truly impressive, as DiBiase Jr. fared well against the veteran Orton. Remarkably, DiBiase Jr. almost won the match with a backslide pin, but Orton kicked out. Then DiBiase Jr. desparately tried to connect with Dream Street but was struck with the RKO. After struggling to win a hard fought match, has Orton found new respect in his protégé, or will Legacy suffer an "unexpected" loss in their Night of Champions's title match?

DiBiase Jr. took out his loss on his father, viciously slapped him across the face and warned him to stay out of his life. Yet that didn't stop DiBiase from making a monumantal announcment, as a result of Legacy's interference in the #1 contender's main-event, Orton will face both Triple-H and John Cena, in a WrestleMania XXIV rematch, at Night of Champions for the coveted WWE Title.
