Kicking off Friday Night Smackdown is the first official ring entrance of the Undertaker since Wrestlemania 25, wearing the trench he wore at Wrestlemania 24, when he submitted Edge in Hells Gate!Undertaker at the age of 44 is still one of the most intimidating forces in the WWE today.
Taker delivered a great promo, basically that CM Punk is tired because he wakes up every night in a puddle of his own sweat out of fear because this Sunday he will reach his Breaking Point when he feels the grip of Hells Gate.
CM Punk tries to deliver a decent promo of how Taker is just like Jeff Hardy, poisoning the people's minds with likes of supernatural powers from the darkness. CM Punk believes that Taker will tap out to the Anaconda Vice and everyone will numb the pain with alcohol and pills as they see their next hero fall.
The main event for Smackdown is CM Punk vs. Matt Hardy in a Submission Match - an exhibition if you will, of what CM Punk is capable of when he meets the Undertaker at Breaking Point.
Matt Hardy is interviewed by ECW's Josh Matthews prior to his match and let me tell you - Matt Hardy is weak on interviews. The reason why Jeff Hardy went over so big, is because Jeff's uniqueness gave him the charisma to nail each of his interviews and mic segments dead on. Matt does not posses that. Which is a shock, because he's charismatic on The Hardy Show. He seems to tense up in his interviews, relax man!
During the match, Matt Hardy focused on the neck of CM Punk, with a series of Neck Breakers. He even pushed the top rope from under Punk, causing him to fall flat onto the ring.
But CM Punk gets back into the match with a drop kick to the back of the head and blows a kiss to the fans before delivering a hellacious snap suplex to Matt Hardy.
Then CM Punk, pulling a page from the Immortal One Hulk Hogan, delivers a series of leg drops to Matt Hardy.
Matt Hardy then pulls a page from The Dirtiest Player in the Game Ric Flair, but placing Punk in the Figure Four!
Along with the Figure Four, Matt applied a double-underhook scissors lock, along with a half Boston crab. 3 Submission maneuvers that sadly could not get the job done as the Anaconda Vice makes Hardy Tap.
CM Punk so far has been living up to his word. He claimed that he would rid the WWE of Jeff Hardy, and make Matt Hardy tap out to the Anaconda Vice.
But tonight's Submission match is against the Undertaker, a man who has Never.... EVER!!!! TAPPED OUT!
